Turmeric:

Curcumin in turmeric is a powerful antibacterial to treat several skin conditions. This is because it minimizes the inflammation of the lesions, itching and discomfort. Mix 1 tbsp. of ground turmeric with equal amount of coconut oil and apply it to the affected areas. Secure it with a piece of cloth or a bandage.

White Vinegar:

White vinegar is effective because it eliminates the bacteria from affected parts. Just mix white distilled vinegar in two cups of lukewarm water. Dip a cotton swab into it and clean your affected area. Avoid picking or scratching the affected part. Pat your skin dry and use an OTC antibiotic cream thereafter.

Repeat the process twice in a day to see improvement.

Tea Tree Oil:

Tea tree oil contains anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, making it an effective home remedy for impetigo. These properties will treat the infection and heal the symptoms.

Mix few drops of tea tree oil with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Apply it to the affected areas and wait for 30 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. Do the process twice a day to see improvement.

Manuka Honey:

Manuka honey makes to this list because of its strong antibacterial, antiseptic and healing properties that can prevent the growth of the bacteria responsible for impetigo. Besides, it promotes the healing of the sores on the skin. It is very simple to use.

Apply some manuka honey on the affected area and wait for few hours. Thereafter, wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat it daily till you see improvement.
