- Antimicrobial Drumstick Leaves
Drumstick leaves are known for their anti-microbial property which helps to relieve itch and irritation.
Extract juice from few chopped and mashed drumstick leaves and then 2tbsp of sesame oil to it. Mix it well and then apply over the affected areas. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash with water. Repeat this procedure daily to find relief.
- Quercetin rich Onions
Onion skin is found to contain quercetin which helps in healing and soothing the intense itch.
Cut few onions into half and scoop out the center portion. Now stuff coarse sea salt in the center portion and keep them aside so that they soften. The juice obtained from this can be applied over the rashes. Repeating this procedure for 3-4 times in a day will help you to get rid of rashes.
- Anti-inflammatory Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree is one of the most effective remedy for treatment of scabies because of its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of scabies. It is known to clear scabies rashes in no more than two weeks.
You can apply a tablespoon of tea tree oil mixed with the same amount of olive oil over the affected skin areas. Another way is to add few drops of tea tree oil in the warm bath water and soak in it to relieve itching.
- Anti-parasitic Garlic
Garlic has anti-parasitic and antibiotic properties which can help you to get rid of skin inflammation.
Garlic can be consumed directly or in the form of capsules. If you take capsules, it is advisable to take at least 2 capsules 3 times in a day.
- Juglone packed Walnut
Walnut contains a chemical known as juglone which can help you to get rid of scabies mites.
Take 2 cups of water and add whole walnuts to it. Boil till the water becomes half. You can now use this water to soak the lesions. This remedy is a quick treatment to scabies.
- Traditional Neem Remedy
Neem is an effective remedy to rid of the scabies mites, numb the pain, relieve from itching, inflammation and redness. It also helps to get rid of secondary infection that can occur due to excessive scratching and open lesions.
Take mustard oil and turmeric powder and mix them together. Now add this mixture to a paste of neem leaves. Apply it all over the body and leave it for about an hour and then wash it off. People who are sensitive to mustard oil shouldn’t use this remedy.

Turmeric is a popular kitchen ingredient in Asian countries due to its anti-bacterial property. It is also an effective remedy for treatment of scabies.
You can form a paste by adding few drops of water to turmeric powder. Apply this paste on the rashes to get relieved of itching.
