5 Home Remedies for Sensitive Skin

Aloe Vera Gel:

You can use Aloe Vera gel without any doubt if you’ve a sensitive skin. It is rich in healing properties and contains Vitamin E which is useful in redness and itchiness. All you need to take the leaf from the plant and peel the outer layer. Get the gel and apply it on the affected area of your face and neck. Let it rest on your face for overnight and rinse off it with plain water in morning.

Turmeric powder has been used for various skin problems since ages. It is high on the antiseptic properties which reduce the skin breakouts and rashes. Turmeric powder has a special compound, curcumin which keeps your skin glowing. Get a tbsp. of turmeric powder and mix it with few drops of honey and 2 tbsp. of raw milk. Prepare a paste and apply it over your face and neck. Wait till it get dried and rinse it off with plain water.

Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is the good choice to keep your skin moisturizing. Thanks to its fatty acids which prevents dryness and keep your skin in good texture. Coconut oil reaches deep into the skin pores and nourishes from within. The oil is also helpful in nourishing other skin conditions like dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis. It can be useful as the quality sunscreen. Before going to the bed, massage your face, arms and legs with coconut oil. Leave it for overnight and wash it off next morning. You can also add a cup of coconut oil in hot bathwater.

Rose Water:

Rose water is rich in cooling, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that are beneficial for the sensitive skin. It keeps the pH level of the skin in balance without leaving the skin too oily or dry. Plus, it is natural and doesn’t lead to any side effects on the skin. You can use it as a toner to prevent wrinkles, tighten pores and make your skin glowing. Just apply some rose water on your face and massage in circular manner. Rose water is also the excellent home remedy to remove the makeup--- Soak cotton ball into it and use it on the makeup portion.

Green tea

Green tea takes care of your sensitive skin too! It is loaded with antioxidants to bring the freshness to your skin. Boil water and add some green tea leaves. Strain the liquid and allow it cool. Later, add few drops of honey and apply it on your face with a cotton ball. Wait for 10 minutes and rinse off with water. Don’t forget to apply moisturizer after that process. Don’t add anything like lemon or vinegar as they may create sensation.
