Efficiency of Tea Tree Oil to Kill Scabies Mites
Tea tree oil can remove all the scabies mites which are exposed to it. One study reveals that tea tree can kill scabies mites fast. Thanks to its active oxygenated terpenoid which removes the scabies mites while treating the skin.
But there is a catch—it only kills weak mites or those who are easily exposed. It clearly means that mites living under the skin layers will be escaped. The oil may not penetrate to that level. Top of that, mites create a shield around them by using specific saliva.
Many mites reside from one place to other across your body. If their route is exposed to the tea tree oil, they may be more vulnerable to the effect of the oil. In this scenario, the oil can kill the good amount of them.
However, the oil may not kill the scabies creating larva shield or those living under the skin barrier. And the mite’s eggs are even protective, creating another challenge for the oil.
