Guttate psoriasis: In case you are dealing with the widespread tiny red marks on the skin, it is a clear indication of guttate psoriasis. Actually, these are tear shaped spots which can be seen during affliction of this type. Being an acute condition, it is often linked to a bacterial or viral infection. It usually occurs on the trunk of the body and the limbs, and is common among young adults and children.

Pustular psoriasis: Though it is a rare form of psoriasis, yet it spreads very speedily in your body. Yes, it is a serious condition and can lead hospitalization in some cases. As far as symptoms are concerned, it is linked to those raised pustules filled with pus. Just after the development of pustules, i.e. in few hours, the skin becomes red and itchy. Generally, in such a skin condition, skin eruption occurs in wave and a progression of scaling is found. It can occur anywhere on the body and initiates from the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.

Plaque psoriasis: Being the most frequently found psoriasis, it is said to be affecting around 80 percent of psoriasis sufferers. As far as the signs and symptoms are concerned, this type of psoriasis brings forth raised and red patches. And these will be frequently displaying a white and shiny scaling. Being distinct patches, these are referred to as plaques and are often considered as the initial indicator of plaque psoriasis. Gradually, there can be small, red bumps developing erratically on the body. 

Often, these continue to exist as individual, however, they can merge together to create a bigger plaque too. This type of psoriasis can easily affect the elbows, knees, and the lower back. But it is not limited to these areas and can appear anywhere on the body.

Inverse psoriasis:  The biggest problem with this kind of psoriasis is that it is often mistaken for a yeast infection. Though it involves the same typical vicinity of the body, where there are folds in the skin, yet it is different and afflicts those who are overweight. In this case, the most affected areas are the breasts, armpits, and the genital areas.

Erythrodermic psoriasis:  Do you know psoriasis can be more severe than you expected? It is possible in the case of Erythrodermic psoriasis.  With typical red, inflamed, and scaly eruption, the rashes can encompass a sizable portion of the body. It can be deadly in some cases. Hence, it should be approached seriously.
